In August I styled a photo shoot called Enchanted that was shot by the beautiful and crazy Shannon from SLR Photography. After meeting at a wedding, we both worked on last year, we were keen to work together again so Shannon suggested that we put together a styled bridal photo shoot.
We wanted to explore current wedding themes, mix them up and take them to the next level – the result of our experiment was Enchanted, a magical wedding creation that takes you into a world of fantasy and wonderland, it is a pretty twist of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland theme incorporating recent trends with a sprinkling of fairy tales.
Giving inspiration to brides to explore their imagination and dress their wedding up in a new and exciting way, was at the forefront of our planning so we pulled together a dream team of suppliers to create our vision. We used bright pastel colours to compliment the neutral backround of Maite’s funiture showroom.
Mixing vintage elements with new products, we steered clear of the ‘floral vintage chic’ that has flooded the wedding market recently and with the help of Belle Vintage China Hire we carefully selected some stunning pieces that were gilded, delicate and totally gorgeous.
The ceiling was a mix of bunting, painted jam jars, pom poms and lanterns with lights, lights and more lights!
Flowers were bright, vibrant and mixed with rosemary for a wonderful scent. With arrangements in a variety of bottles and tea cups, Keri totally understood our brief.
The cake was out of this world – we wanted it to show a mixture of textures and styles and be just a little bit lopsided! The Glorious Bakeshop also treated us to some very cute cupcakes to tie in with the tea party style.
The table was a busy collision of flowers, sweets, pearls, feathers and coloured milk! Candy Girls delighted us with sweet trees, cups overflowing with jelly beans, multi coloured sherbert, melted chocolate and many more treats.
There is a massive trend at the moment for sweet tables at weddings but we brought the sweets to the wedding table with delights at every corner for guests to enjoy.
Tune in for part two which focusses on the fabulous dresses, fascinators, hair & make up with balloons and handfuls of confetti thrown in for good measure!
