Fairytale Weddings at Blenheim Palace

If you are dreaming of a fairytale wedding then getting married in a palace must be top of your list!photo-local3-large

Blenheim Palace is home to the 11th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough, was the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and is a World Heritage Site.  Situated in Woodstock, just 8 miles from Oxford, the palace is surrounded by over 2,000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped parkland, the great lake, and beautiful formal gardens, making it the perfect location for weddings.outside

There are a variety of unique and elegant facilities available for you to create your perfect wedding ceremony and reception:

The Orangery with its private palatial entrance and terrace overlooking the Italian Garden, will provide a stunning daytime and evening wedding venue for up to 180 guests.  Designed by Sir John Vanbrugh, The Orangery is a beautifully elegant room with high ceilings and huge arched windows, it has a private entrance and guests can enjoy exclusive use all day and evening up to midnight.  blenheim-palaceorangery

The Orangery can be used as a ceremony & dining room in conjunction with The Great Hall where guests can enjoy the splendour of the Palace for a drinks reception and private tour before enjoying dinner.p279256529-3

The Great Hall and The Saloon, situated inside the Palace, work perfectly together to provide a spectacular dinner venue. Guests enter the Palace along the up-lit Colonnades into The Long Library and through the State Rooms into the Saloon for a Champagne reception.2 BLENHEIM MISC.TIF

The Saloon is the State Dining Room where the family still celebrate Christmas every year. The magnificent Great Hall can accommodate 150 guests for dinner and 500 for a reception; and the Saloon 80 guests for dinner. saloon

The Great Hall and Saloon provide a fantastic dining combination for up to 150 guests for evening receptions from 6.30pm. Then you can enjoy dancing in the Water Terraces Arcade Room to end your special occasion with an after dinner cocktail and drinks bar in The Saloon.bo1
