It has been as hard as hell not being able to share these images but the time has finally come! Last week the fabulous Kat from RocknRoll Bride featured my Rapunzel shoot on her blog and I was just so excited – to see them on her blog was just amazing! But, the images you saw there were only a small sample of the whole shoot, today I’m going to share with you the model images and next week the detailed styling that you can use for your wedding.
Following on from the success of our Enchanted shoot last year, Shannon and I wanted to explore the traditional fairy tales and give them a modern twist, with inspirational bridal shoots, for couples looking to do something different for their wedding day.
We imagined Rapunzel as a kick ass girl trying to escape from her tower, and when she does finally break free, after a little run around a field (well, she has been locked up for a long time!), she marries the man of her dreams in the most beautiful setting – a little corny but that is how all of the best fairy tales end!
I want to encourage you to think outside of the box when creating the style for your day, do something different, something that gets you excited and most importantly something that reflects your passions.
We were thrilled with the team we had on the day. Sophie kept the make up very natural, adding blush to our model’s pale skin with bright lips, the look was perfect.
Krysia did an AMAZING job with Rapunzel’s hair, there were over 20 hair extensions that had to be crimped, preened and plaited together to create the masterpiece – and it was so heavy!
Our venue for the day was Kingston Bagpuize House, who offer stunning spaces for your wedding. There are so many photo opportunities that your photographer will be thrilled, be sure to explore the gardens and keep your fingers crossed for good weather so you can get married in the Temple Dome – just like Rapunzel!
The flowers were from Green & Gorgeous, who grow their own flowers, so we had a real country garden feel, the colours were bright and vibrant and just delightful.
And the light, did I mention the light!?! How clever is Shannon – she is such a joy to work with and I just adore her images.
Tune in next week for part two!
