Wallis Simpson

This super stylish Wallis Simpson inspired shoot was a collaboration with Clair Macintyre and it embraced everything we both love about the vintage era mixed in with some modern day influences.  We brought together our passion for taxidermy, glitz and Hollywood glamour to produce a fabulous inspired shoot at Heatherden Hall in Pinewood Studios.  The dark paneled dining room with high ceilings and extravagant twinkling chandeliers helped to set the scene and was the perfect location.

Opening Shoot WE

Claire says ‘We wanted to create a feeling of warmth, light and darkness, opulence and also a little touch of melancholy. Not usually something you look for in a wedding shoot! But we felt that Wallis & Edward, for all their fabulousness, always seemed a little bored and melancholy. At least in their images anyway.’

‘This is most definitely an Autumnal inspired shoot. And as the days draw in now, and we have seen a smorgasbord of soft pastel palettes and floaty whimsical floral over the Summer we thought it fitting to encourage the hues of gold, red, green, amber and browns that make Autumn weddings so stunning.’

The main table setting was uber glamorous with a gold sequin tablecloth, pink gilded crockery, gold rimmed glassware, champagne bottles and taxidermy.  I loved the beading detail on the back of the chairs too!

The flowers were rich and extravagant with deep red hues and were displayed in a range of gold and large ornate vases.

Our vintage bar worked so well with the other styling details – champagne cocktail anyone?

We changed the look of our gorgeous models with a range of vintage and vintage inspired dresses and suits along with exquisite vintage furs, a beetle wing crown and the most stunning 24 carat gold leafed real scorpion headpiece.
