The Ruby Difference

My name is Georgina aka Ruby and I am the founder of Ruby Wedding Design, I love cocktails, am a red hair obsessive, my favourite colour is purple and I’m a real magpie for all things sparkly.

I am a professional wedding planner based in Oxford, I write Ruby’s blog and am a regular ‘Ask the Expert’ in Your, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wedding Magazine.  After 10 years in event management I decided to put my creative side to better use in an industry that I am genuinely passionate about.  The name Ruby came from the combination of two of my interests; red hair and weddings, I wanted a business name that would reflect my personality whilst at the same time showing my experience and love for weddings – and so Ruby was born.

I live and breathe weddings, keeping up to date with the latest trends and styles, I know who the best suppliers are and more importantly which ones to avoid.  I have a vast network of suppliers and extensive venue knowledge, any discounts that these suppliers give me will always get passed onto my clients.

Because every wedding and every couple are different I offer a selection of wedding planning options – ranging from the initial design of the wedding, to managing all details of the day step by step, from start to finish.

I understand that some couples will want every detail of their wedding organised for them while others just need a little helping hand with the finishing touches or a creative eye to pull their vision together.

With no job too big or too small, my goal is to help you to create a day that reflects the personality of you & your partner.
